Great place to take a boat ride, walk around the area and eat something. There are ducks, fishes, turtles and a variety of birds in the zone. You can rent 2 types of boats which are not expensive. Entrance is free. Restaurants are not near by but you can go walking. Nearby bathrooms were not working properly so I had to walk to the other ones at the other side of the lake. Amazing place to go on a weekend, you can also have some picnic in the grass near the lake.

Nestled within the heart of Mexico City's sprawling Bosque de Chapultepec, Lago de Chapultepec stands as a tranquil oasis amidst the urban buzz. This picturesque lake, spanning approximately 16 hectares, offers a welcome respite from the city's hustle and bustle, providing a haven for both locals and visitors alike. The lake's tranquil waters, fringed by lush greenery and dotted with whimsical paddle boats, invite leisurely strolls along its meandering paths. As you wander, take in the serene ambiance, punctuated by the gentle lapping of water against the shore and the melodious chirping of birds. I strongly recommend anyone going, on a weekend or public holiday with family and/or friends. Going alone is a good option too, but you enjoy it much more with others around you.

Wonderful large lake that has ample of boating options at very reasonable prices. Lots of birds about including ducks and herons. Some derelict buildings also along the bank. Very nice walk around the lake.

Beautiful lake in Chapultepec park. Had no idea that Mexico City had a park bigger than New Yorks Central Park. Nice place to hang out. Lots is museums as well as a real live castle.

So the lake itself was a beautiful sight to see. The only problem was that none of the water activities were open probably because of covid. The zoo was okay. Not a lot of animals to see but the ones we did were cool for the most part. I still had fun though. My kids and I still had fun. We went to the butterfly exhibit and we got some great pictures from there. I saw a giant guinea pig and the biggest animal they had were some Buffalo. Many parts of the zoo was empty because they were under construction. It is free to get in, but you have to pay to use the bathroom. The zoo store was very small. But the staff was very nice. I had a good time with my kids though. It is a place you should visit. Thank you
